Are there any free windows phone 8 apps that let you text and make calls?

Q. I am thinking about buying a Nokia lumia 920 and was wondering if there are any free texting apps like text now or text plus on IOS.

A. I have a Nokia Lumia 900, and I'm currently using Whatsapp, Viber, Skype and Heywire (I only use heywire to send free text to people that don't have these apps or smartphones). It also has a very neat integration with my Facebook, so it has all my facebook contacts in my phonebook, and notifies me of facebook chat messages in the same way and place as normal text messages, which always comes handy as I have unlimited 3g.

I have never heard of "text now" or "text plus". Just checked in the Windows Phone marketplace and apparently textplus exists, but I can't download it because apparently you can only use it in the US and Canada and I'm in the UK... But heywire does pretty much the same thing.

by buying the unlocked version of the phone
but in your case it's impossible since windows 8 phones aren't in the market and will be in the end of this month

A. you cant update any wp7 to wp8
you will be getting the wp7.8 update which bring many of the wp8 features
some of those features
are the new start screen
bluetooth sending support
skype integration and many more

How do you turn off the notification lights on the Motorola Droid Razr?

My device was recently updated to Android 2.3.6 and there isn't an option that I can locate to turn off the LED notification light....my notification sound doesn't bother me but the light constantly flashes all night long and is annoying. I have searched forums but could only find resolutions for the Xoom tablet. Any help would be greatly appreciated =)
Ever since updating to 2.3.6 there is no phone setting, there is a call setting but its not there either.

you can get Ã, Ã, and à characters on your blackberry. it's pretty simple too, let's use à as an example:
you would have to hold on the A button and scroll the trackpad until you get Ã. you can do that with the other letters and you will have swedish characters as well as other ways of using that letter
