The main differences are the iPhone 5 runs off a A6 core processor, it has a screen which is 0.5" bigger than the 4s, it is LTE (4G) ready so you can achieve super quick download speeds, it uses a lightening port to charge rather than the old 30pin plug, and has a longer battery life.
