There is a very simple way to do this:
1) Most probably your phone will have an option for WiFi Hotspot, just set your phone as wifi hotspot and connect your Laptop to your phone via Wifi.
If this doesn't work then there is one other rather difficult way to do this,
2) Download Virtual Wifi Router Plus on your phone and set it as a Hotspot and connect via laptop.
NOTE: Download Virtual Wifi Router Plus only because the older version "Virtual wifi router" doesn't work on windows 8.
